Redox Dual Action
Context-dependent oxidative and anti-inflammatory activity of Boswellia and AKBA
Boswellia's redox behaviour is different from more classical dual-action compounds such as curcumin. Its dominant role is anti-inflammatory, but downstream oxidative stress can still contribute to tumour-cell kill in the right context.

Why 5-LOX matters
One of AKBA's distinctive features is direct 5-lipoxygenase inhibition. That gives Boswellia a unique anti-inflammatory angle compared with several other oncology adjuncts.
Practical interpretation
Boswellia is best understood as primarily anti-inflammatory with a secondary, context-dependent oxidative component in tumour cells.
